  1. They didn't ask her about how she left out the FEMALE slave to make the movie 'less about politics and more about women'

  2. These comments are pretty awful. I read through them and they made me think that the video would be filled with SJW nonsense, but it wasn't at all. What is everyone complaining about?

  3. What exactly the fuck are you nutcases taking umbrage with in this video? They don’t knock men or whatever you maniacs are going crazy about.

  5. All these man children in the comments angry they can't get laid so they take it out on women that actually do something with their lives. Get over your insecurities and you actually might get laid. lmao

  6. went and saw her new film last night. thought it was shit. nearly fell asleep during the film, and i enjoy slow cinema, but this was DULL. thought it was a pointless film. some nice acting from Nicole Kidman. 2.5/10

  7. Low IQ mouth breathers live in the comment section repeating their meme based thoughts for other unborn closet dwellers.

  8. Never heard of this release.
Meh, but maybe I'll watch it someday. I don't see why this would cause outrage in the comments section. Lol

  9. these comments are truly appalling. How dare two women discuss issues that arise from being women! What about men?
Where's their representation? We're continuously provided with male narratives that more often than not dehumanise women, until they're a piece of meat to be owned. Are you saying that women are people too?? WHAT IS THIS PROPAGANDA?!!??! WHAT'S THE WORLD COMING TO?? Equality of the sexes??
Female representation is so important to impressionable children and adolescents. Finding your place in the world and developing your own identity is incredibly difficult when majority of female characters on the big screen serve as sexual objects; dehumanised and two dimensional. Strong, intelligent women, like Coppola, are chased with pitchforks for providing a service that desperately lacks in the film industry; female relatability. Whether or not you enjoy her films is irrelevant, her filmography has provided teen girls with material that perfectly captures their emotions and transition into adulthood. The isolation and loneliness that comes with femininity. You weren't a fan of her acting in the third Godfather film? Fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but her past has nothing to do with this particular project and the message she is trying to get across. If you want to discuss the neglected topic of slavery in this film, then by all means. The comment section exists for a reason, but trolling and spreading toxic, close-minded opinions gets us nowhere. It's devastating to see how people act without consequences. You may not write under your true identity, but that's no excuse for neglecting your humanity.

  10. Why such hateful comments? I really really like Sofia Coppola and her style of movie making. I think she seems to take much care is taken with developing the characters that they present both verbally and physically as very communicative and believable.

I seriously love Lost in Translation. Its in my top 10. Admittedly I'm a bit quirky and have a top 10 that only makes sense to me.

Are the trolls here paid posters of some anarchist group or enemy nation state secret propaganda department? The peanut section on Vice is horrible. Like everyone was not taught manners to them by church and state and they instead were raised and suckled at the teets of she-wolves. Hmm. . . when is somebody gonna make a Romulus and Remus movie anyhow?

  11. Low key subscribed just to dislike and say some edgy comment about how vice is dumb and homophobic and should KISS MY ASS

  12. I don't get it. There are countless stories under the "coming of age" archetype focused on young boys and how they see the world (often sexually), yet you make one film about girls in similar situations and every SJW, misogynist, and butthurt preteen loses their shit. Grow up people.

  13. Why is it I always seem to show up when there's no more awful comments and just people complaining about other people making awful comments?

  14. One word best describes Sofia Coppola: nepotism.

Also she's an outspoken woman who "doesn't know her place." REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  15. I would like to take Sofia out to dinner and discuss the imagery of wealthy suburbia, especially from the perspective of youth.

  16. DOWNVOTE VICE………. Tell them to allow debate in comment section. Let them know censorship of discourse is not Western cultures standards.

  17. "what did you do monday night"
"left rage filled comments about feminism on a completely unrelated youtube video"
    …..
*begins to understand why Frank has no friends in the office"

  18. All these woman children in the comments angry they can't get laid so they take it out on men that actually do something with their lives. Get over your insecurities and you actually might get laid. lmao

  19. She made lost in translation. One of my top movies ever. I doubt anything she does will surpass it but ill look into it.

  20. Dont mind the comments people….youtube is full of internet trash that like to vent their sexual frustration online….becauseits anonymous. They dont mean shit. Let them pretend to be getting somewhere by hiding behind the internet.

  21. Coming from the hood to living around white people white girls and the daughters of pastors and church girls are the nastiest lol

  22. It's just so sad to read these comments. If you don't like her job, it's okay. What it's not okay is to say mean things about her like this. Women need more respect.

  23. Another in a series of pointless remakes. Not once is the original film starring Clint Eastwood mentioned in this interview which is a great film. What a joke.

  24. it's frustrating that there is no mention of the fact that this is a re-make. clint eastwood produced and acted in this movie in like 1972, and it actually was pretty damn good – perhaps his most under-rated film. you gotta give credit where credit is due…

  25. How can a woman have sexual desires? In order to have desires you must act on them, take a chance on someone you see. Women don't peruse relationships, they wait to be pressured. How can a women have sexual desires if you don't act on impulse.
